Leadership Definition:hautūtanga (noun) leadership. Te Aka Online Māori Dictionary
leadership (noun) the quality or ability that makes a person a leader, or the position of being a leader: Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary & Thesaurus.
One of the many great Māori whakataukī about leadership is '“Ehara taku toa I te toa takitahi engari he toa takitini”', which can be translated as 'My strength is not from myself, but from the strength of the group.' This proverb highlights the second of our PDA Series which showcases different 'Personal Development Areas' that Search The Way are seeking to encourage and enhance in the lives of our participants. We seek to provide opportunities for participants to grow in personal and team leadership in a variety of settings. Today's photo features some participants from the groups that STW work with from Westland, who completed an overnight camp where they had to demonstrate great leadership skills to complete a variety of tasks. Muy bien Westland! (Well done Westland!)
